Frances handles the front desk. She is usually the first person you hear when you call the office, and she always has a smile in her voice. Frances has been with Dr Alder since 2002. Frances is the one who can answer your questions about appointments, insurance, and all the other things you might want to know about our policies and practices.
Frances is an avid quilter and sews beautifully. She has two wonderful grandsons.
Kim is Dr Mark's assistant and she will be the one working closely with him at chairside. She returned to dental assisting after taking time off for family. She joined us here in 2000, and brings many years of experience to the office.
Kim enjoys all kinds of crafting and is an avid reader of all genres. Her son is a nationally ranked trials motorcycle rider, and her daughter shares her love of reading and is attending college.
Sarah is the newest member of the team and joined the practice in the winter of 2017. She grew up in the Beaverton area, and currently lives in Hillsboro with her husband and daughter, who is 3 years old. Sarah is a graduate of Jesuit High School, Portland State University (Bachelors of Applied Science in Child and Family Studies), and Mt Hood Community College (Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene). Patient education is a passion of Sarah's, and her goal is to make patients feel comfortable by providing outstanding patient care. She attends continuing education courses to provide patients with the best care by applying up-to-date knowledge in dentistry, technology, and techniques. When she is not cleaning teeth, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, playing sports, and traveling along the west coast.
Cathy is Dr Mark's wife and has been part of the practice from the beginning. Cathy and Mark met at Oregon State. She graduated from the OHSU Dental School in dental hygiene, but has been involved in all areas of his practice. Presently, she assists Dr Mark one day a week, and fills in as needed for Kim and Frances.
Cathy loves all things Orange and Black, and during the fall can be found at OSU home games. She is a family caregiver, and loves their golden retriever. Many days, you can find her in the garden, or even helping her brother in his construction business. She knows building from the ground up.
